Controversial on-air personality Daddy Freeze who seemed to have been quiet lately, pinned on Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of former Lagos state governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reacted to her recent ministerial ordainment.
The popular Nigerian radio host and presenter is known for constantly taking up any religious matter he feels needs redressing and most times, he doesn’t mind having to dress down anyone in the process.
In what appeared like a good natured banter, the award winning media personality hit at the former governor’s wife who recently got ordained as a minister by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The ordainment which was performed in the mood of the convention organized by the church saw her husband Asiwaju Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in attendance.
As covered by NAIJ.com, Pastor Adeboye who acts in the position of the general overseer of the Christian denomination presided over the event, and even took the time out to take some pictures with the couple. In response to the ministerial ceremony, Daddy Freeze made comments on his Instagram page that jabbed sarcastically at the successful female politician and the general overseer of RCCG: “…Did she ordain Adeboye into politics.. or is it the other way around? I didn’t quite get the story…”
Even more, he encrypted a message using the allusion of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. From the looks of the message, he made an allegorical insinuation that the ordainment had occasioned an unwanted merge of politics and religion: “It is well…. I am happy for them. I just read animal farm again and I don’t seem to understand what George Orwell was trying to say here, can someone please explain? “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.” ~George Orwell, Animal Farm”
Meanwhile,it was earlier reported that Daddy Freeze claimed the pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God would not make heaven due to certain reasons. It would appear that there is no love lost for the man of God on the part of the media personality.
