Court Orders Kano Alleged Fake Lawyer Back Into Custody To Await Trial.

On Monday, Kano State Police Command, brought to trial Dahiru Adamu, a fake lawyer, a resident of Kurna Quarters in the metropolitan city at a magistrate’s court for impersonation.

The police prosecutor informed the offence contravened nullified Section 133 of the Penal Code Law.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence, after reading the content of the First Information Report.

The Prosecutor debated that the defendant was always clad in the lawyer’s attire, which involves wigs and gowns, with which he perambulated the court premises claiming to be a lawyer.

The Prosecutor also included that the defendant devoted himself specially in processing bail to accused persons in court.

The Magistrate orders Adamu back into custody in the Kanu Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, and adjourned the case to October 20, 2020.
