Nigerian envoy to Jordan buried in Kano

On Monday, at exactly 9:59am, the remains of the immediate past Nigeria Ambassador to Jordan, Alhaji Haruna Ungogo, were put to rest at Naibawa Gabas cemetery located within Kano metropolis.

Late Alhaji Haruna Ungogo died after a brief illness at a government hospital, in Abuja, on Sunday.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), appointed late Alhaji Haruna Ungogo as ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Iran, and he served out his tenure at the time of his death.

Ungogo was once a Secretary to the Kano State government, as well as a one-time Finance Commissioner, and ex- Rector, Kano State Polytechnic.
