While speaking at the closed-door budget defense session with the Nigerian Army, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army stated this.

He said, “I am in disagreement with the government.”

He went ahead to say that members of the terrorist group which are captured during military operations can be kept in prison and later tried in accordance with the law.

The lawmaker added that the recent “Damboa attack was carried out by a repentant Boko Haram member.”
