Ooni of Ife celebrates 44th birthday in style

Africa is a continent that has a very rich culture. For this reason, traditional rulers and monarchs are highly revered. Ile Ife, an ancient city in Nigeria, is said to be the cradle of the Yoruba race and the traditional ruler of the city is known as the Ooni. The current Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, was born on October 17, 1974, and he recently clocked 44. To celebrate, he took majestic photos as he was surrounded by family and well-wishers. The Ooni received his staff of office on December 7, 2015, after the death of the former ruler, late Oba Okunade Sijuwade, who died on July 28, 2015.
