Ekiti State: Three Men Arrested And Charged To Court For Burning And Beheading Ten Corpses For Ritual.

Three men identified as Abimbola, 35, Ahmed Ojo, 56, and Kola Ftoye, 40 have been arrested and prosecuted for killing and burning the bodies of ten people for the purpose of ritual in Ekiti State. Monica Ikebuilo, the police prosecutor, stated that the defendants committed the crime between March and September, 2020, in Orun-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Philip Akintayo, Moreani Ajayi, were said to beĀ  unlucky people whose bodies were chopped as well as the other eight corpses. The defendants who were accused of the crime were said to have violated sections 242(1)b, 210(e) and 213(b) of the criminal code laws of Ekiti State, 2012. The Court was advised by the prosecutor to detain them in the correctional centre pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Adefumike Animo, directed that the defendants be detained at the correctional centre pending legal advice. The case was adjourned to November 6 for hearing by the Chief Magistrate.
