Nigerian reggae legend Ras Kimono’s burial rites begin in Lagos

A Nigerian music legend Ras Kimono had passed away on Sunday, June 10, after he reportedly complained of stomach ache the night before. The final burial rites of the reggae legend have finally commenced at the early hours of Thursday, August 23. The late musician’s body was moved from the TOS Funeral Home where it was preserved since the tragic incident occurred. It was gathered that a convoy of vehicles filled up with the deceased musician’s family and friends lined the road that leads to Magodo as his remains were driven out of the funeral home. Fans and friends also gathered to pay their respect to the great music legend. From the funeral home, Ras Kimono was reportedly taken to his Onicha Olona ancestral home in the Aniocha local government area of Delta state It was reported that the dreadlocked music legend had been rushed to the hospital while he was waiting to board a flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Ras Kimono reportedly died after he was moved to a second hospital in Lagos. After rumours that the musician had passed away due to a serious ailment began circulating, his manager Daddy Faizer had debunked the stories. He revealed that Ras Kimono underwent a medical test that revealed that he was healthy, three weeks before the tragic incident.
