Breaking! 900 prisoners escaped in jail-break – Bakwanamaha

On Tuesday, the mayor of eastern Congolese city of Beni said 900 prisoners had escaped from  jail, and among the escapees were members of an Islamist militant group. According to report, only 100 prisoners out of 1000 prisoners remained in the prison after the jail-break. Modeste Bakwanamaha stated that rebels from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) and other rebel groups were among those who had been sprung from the jail by attackers using welding equipment.

BREAKING: #EndSARS: Suspected hoodlums break into Benin prison, set inmates free

On Monday, suspected hoodlums broke into the Benin Prison popularly called White House and freed many inmates in one of the cells. Some persons sustained injuries as armed squad of prison officials engaged the suspected hoodlums in gun fire. High Court 4 which is beside the prison was also destroyed. As early as 7 am, the hoodlums started gathering along Sapele Road beside the prison setting bonfires and sending back road users. They launched their attack when their number had increased, destroyed a part of the wall while some climbed the fence into the prison yard.
