Russian model stabs Husband

A 26-year-old Model, Lilia Sudakova, has been charged with stabbing her husband to death with a kitchen knife in Russia. According to Mirror.UK, Sudakova is accused of killing her 28-year-old husband, Sergey Popov, after he brought home a woman he met at a bar and demanded his wife cook for the pair. Her mother, Irena Sudakova claims the model was a longtime victim of domestic abuse, and that she had acted in self-defense. ‘Lilia is a victim, it was self-defense. This was such a sick love. It all happened by accident, it was an accident.’ She said that Popov had repeatedly beaten Lilia when he was drunk. Her son-in-law was ‘smart’, ‘mesmerizing with his mind’, and a computer genius, but he was an ‘alcoholic’ who could be ‘an arrogant snob’ and she had witnessed him beating Lilia. ‘My daughter was completely sober,’ she said, claiming the law is biased against victims of domestic abuse in Russia. The model’s friend, stylist Karolina Pavlovskaya, also said Lilia had been a victim of abuse. ‘She was a broken-down girl with a beautiful appearance, but emptiness inside,’ she said. After the stabbing, Lilia immediately called an ambulance, and Popov was rushed to the hospital where he died. She confessed to stabbing her husband of four years with a knife and initially told police it was due to jealousy after he flirted with the woman, according to Russian media. She has been charged with manslaughter and detained in pretrial custody for two months. Lilia faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted.

Leave Wike out of River council military operation – Uwazuruike

Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of the Movement for Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has berated those connecting Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike to the ongoing military operations in Oyingbo Local Government Area of the state. Uwazuruike said it was acceptable and irresponsible to claim that Wike was murdering Igbos because the Army started a military operation to fish out hoodlums, who killed its operatives and took their firearms. He stated that the development in Oyingbo was a direct result of an order issued by the Leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, which involves directing members of the outlawed group to kill soldiers, policemen and burn police stations. He said: “Sometimes in 2001 and 2002, the youths of Odi killed some soldiers in Odi and Obasanjo sent the military. They wiped Odi out. “They killed many people in Odi and burnt Odi down. The then President of IYC, Felix Tuodolor, invited me to Odi. “I went to Odi as a MASSOB leader and saw the devastation there, I cried bitterly. Many people were killed. “At the same time, the people of Zaki Biam killed some soldiers, Obasanjo also sent soldiers and Zaki Biam was brought down irrespective of the fact that many generals are from that place. So, calling what is happening in Rivers State an Igbo thing is rubbish. “Nyesom Wike is not killing any Igbo man. It is not an Igbo thing. Nyesom Wike has no capacity to command the Army to kill anybody in Rivers State. “It is only the Commander in Chief that can do so like Obasanjo did. It is not within the powers of Wike to stop the army from killing those who killed their own. Wike didn’t order the army in Odi and Zaki Biam. ” So, these people who go about on the internet talking rubbish and claiming that Wike is killing Igbo’s should stop speaking for us. “The Army are killing those who killed their own. This thing[…]

SARS: Buhari Must Resign Now…Fani- Kayode Tells Nigerians Next Action.

Fani-Kayode, a Former Minister of Aviation, has called for the removal of President Muhammadu Buhari through a similar protest that led to the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. The former minister, who is also a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, noted that the End-SARS protests represent a watershed in the history of demonstrations in Nigeria. He pointed out that this was the first time in the last 60 years Nigerians had recognised the fact that they can effect change and bring government to its knees by taking to the streets in peaceful protest. Fani-Kayode commended the courage of Nigerians who took it upon themselves to ensure that the government disbanded SARS by protesting but urged “them to not just call for the ending of SARS but also for the resignation of Buhari.” Giving his reasons, the Former Minister said Buhari, as Nigeria’s President, has no value for human life and that innocent Nigerians had been brutally murdered under his watch than at any other time in the history of the country outside of the civil war. For Fani-Kayode, Buhari “has lost his legitimacy and has no right to remain in power.” “#Endsars and #EndPoliceBrutality is just the beginning. #EndBuhari’s rule and the resignation of Buhari and his entire Govt. must be the final destination,” he tweeted. “Many have been killed during this #Endsars demonstrations and they are still being killed. Their blood must not be allowed to have been shed in vain. “Every drop of their blood must count for something and must act as a catalyst to a total change and overhaul of the entire system and a new beginning. It must lead to the end of Buhari’s sheer wickedness and impunity and it must usher in a new Nigeria where mass murder, ethnic cleansing, genocide, police brutality, tribal and religious divisions corruption, nepotism and impunity are things of the past. “Take it or leave it, this may well be the beginning of our own[…]
