Another protest will begins if soldiers who shot at Lekki protesters are not arrested- Group warns Federal Government, Army

 A coalition of civil society groups have given a direct warning to the Federal Government and the Nigerian army, that if the soldiers who shot at Lekki toll gate protesters are not arrested and persecuted in 15 days, another protest begins, this group made this known to the FG and Nigerian Army on Wednesday. The civil society groups comprising the Campaign for Democracy, CD, Human Rights, Liberty Access and Peace Defenders’ Foundation, etc, have warned and gave a 15 days ultimatum which will end on November 1st. It is known that soldiers shot at unarmed Lekki toll gate protesters on the 20th of October, this have brought so many critics all over the world. Being in a democratic rule and shooting at peaceful protester can be seen as a violation of our human right. The Public Secretary of CD, and Chairman CD, South East Zone, Dede Uzor Uzor, speaking for the group has also stated that the FG should set up a compensation plan for the victim’s family.
