– Nigerian Afro-pop star is set to perform at the Essence Street Style party in New York – The Nigerian singer would perform alongside American star Teyana Taylor – Essence Street Style block party would take place in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 9 Yemi Alade, a Nigerian Afro-pop musician has been announced as one of the artistes to perform at the upcoming Essence Street Style party set to take place in New York this 2018. The 29-year-old singer who was born in Abia state, would perform alongside American star Teyana Taylor. Alade who is known for her African inspired fashion as well as musical prowess, has had a great year with her hit album titled Black Magic. The album was released in late 2017. On an Instagram post, the excited singer announced the good news. In her message, she referenced her new single Oh My Gosh to share her excitement. She wrote: ” #OhMyGosh @essence #EssenceStreetStyle #OMG .#WEGOWITHGOD #OMG …… “ She has also dropped some hit songs this year. Some of the singles are How I Feel, Elele and recently the Afro-pop singer dropped a new single titled Oh My Gosh.
